O Portiño 30
Located in a privileged spot between the towns of Vigo and Baiona, O Portiño 30 sits in a natural setting surrounded by some of the best beaches in Galicia.
Right below the house, we have the small O Portiño beach, with a few boats anchored to buoys and stunning views of the Cíes Islands that we enjoy from the house. Within walking distance, you’ll find Prado beach and Patos beach, the most popular surf spot in Vigo, where you can find schools to practice and plenty of dining options. Towards Baiona, there’s Panxón beach and Playa América, separated by a river that lets us take a barefoot 5 km stroll along the beach.
The Vigo Estuary
The ría de Vigo is the deepest and southernmost of Galicia’s Rías Baixas. Located in the province of Pontevedra, it stretches 35 km in length and up to 15 km in width. Its entrance is guarded by the Cíes Islands, part of the Atlantic Islands National Park. It’s easy access, deep waters, and calm conditions make the Ría de Vigo an ideal haven for sailing and water sports.
A prime location in the Rías Baixas
O Portiño 30 is situated in the Saiáns area, on the outskirts of Vigo, 24 km from the airport, 15km from Vigo’s city center, 11 km from Baiona and just 40 minutes by boat from the Cíes Islands
What’s more, the Vigo estuary is an ideal starting point to explore other areas of Galicia, such as Santiago de Compostela with a cathedral and a historic centre worth visiting, Pontevedra a hidden gem with a very pleasant old town to eat and stroll, Tui with an interesting cathedral-fortress and wonderful views of the river Minho. We’re also close to our neighbouring country, with treasures like Valença, Vila Nova de Cerveira, Ponte de Lima, and Porto, a city that has spectacularly transformed in the last decade, regaining its full glory.
Beaches and nature
According to The Guardian, Rodas beach on the northern Cíes Island, part of the Atlantic Islands National Park, is the best beach in the world. Across the estuary, you’ll find Barra, another beautiful beach, in its case nudist, and Nerga, separated by only a few rocks, offer equally breathtaking landscapes. Beyond these, there are many other beaches in our estuary and unique spots like the coves of Monteferro and the beaches of our neighbouring Aldán estuary, which are also worth exploring.
Behind O Portiño, you’ll find the Coruxo and Saiáns forest park, with plenty of hiking and biking trails offering fantastic sea views. The area also offers other interesting routes like the Water Route and the Coastal Route of the Vela.

Gateway to the Atlantic, where history comes to life by the sea
Baiona, located to the south of the Pontevedra province, is a charming destination on the Galician coast.
Known for its picturesque old town and its impressive 13th-century castle with panoramic views of the coast, Baiona is famous for its beaches as well as its lively nightlife and delicious gastronomy, with many restaurants serving fresh seafood and traditional Galician dishes.
With its relaxed vibe and rich cultural heritage, Baiona is a very attractive place to enjoy all it has to offer.
The most notable celebration in Baiona is the Arribada, a reenactment of a Viking landing, where the city comes alive with activity and a wide range of offerings for its visitors

El Parque Nacional Marítimo-Terrestre de las Islas Atlánticas, es un tesoro natural de inmensa belleza. Este parque, formado por un conjunto de islas (Cíes, Ons, Sálvora y Cortegada), ofrece una variedad asombrosa de flora y fauna.
